DESERT VIEW HIGHLANDS, Los Angeles County — Local Waterworks District customers should know that the county’s Region 34 water rate schedules use different usage tiers for summer and winter.
The county’s published schedule effective May 1, 2025 includes separate tier thresholds for June 1–November 30 and December 1–May 31, plus meter service charges. For several listed small-meter categories, the document identifies a service charge of $36.543 per billing unit per month, followed by consumption charges that rise at higher usage levels.
Why the account code matters
There are multiple billing codes and service-area categories in the tariff; the example above may not describe an individual household’s entire bill. Customers should look at their own meter, account code, usage in hundred-cubic-foot units and any updated tariff since May 2025 before estimating costs.
For a billing dispute or a new service request, contact the Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts directly rather than assuming that neighboring City of Palmdale rate schedules apply.
